Nano Clothing Review

Nano Clothes Review - Hooray for MomsShopping for clothes for two cool little dudes can be tricky. Everything I find for my 2-year-old has trains or puppy dogs on it, and everything for my 9-year-old has sports brand logos or gaming stuff. While that’s all fine and dandy, we prefer something a little cooler, a little trendier, something with a little more ‘chill’ style – and that’s just what I found from Nano.

When I was approached by Nano to review their clothing, I obviously had to check out their line first. As soon as I saw some of the clever shirts, I knew I had to do it! So they sold me on the style, but the next task was to find out how the clothes fit my kids, lasted through lots of playing, and held up after numerous washings. Well, my friend, these clothes did not fail me.

Nano carries both boys and girls clothing for 3 months to 10 years old, as well as sneakers. I chose a t-shirt and shorts for each kid. Actually, I had too hard of time deciding which shirts to get (they are ALL so cool!), so I had my oldest choose one for himself and his little bro (which, honestly, makes more sense for him to choose his own shirt). The designs are quirky and feature fun graphics and clever plays on words. My son chose the Whale Graphic Tee for himself and the London Bus Tee for his bro; he then opted for the Comfy Slim Fit Sport Shorts in denim for both of them.

They arrived quickly to my delight, and my kids were stoked to see them in person. Upon taking them out of the packaging, the first thing I noticed was just how soft they feel. I’m talking incredibly soft. Like wrap me up and let me take a nap in them soft. The material is slightly thin, which is actually perfect for the kind of climate we live in – it’s downright HOT and HUMID in the summer. My kids didn’t hesitate to put them on right away – they fit great and looked awesome!

I love the orange trim on the Whale shirt – it gives it a little pop of color that’s just right, and the London Bus makes me think of chill Dr. Seuss. The raw-cut edges on the sleeves and bottom hems of the the shirts give them an edgier look that adds to the cool factor. The shorts are great because they have an elastic waist so there’s no need to mess with snaps or buttons. My youngest can put them on all by himself – which he prefers to do because he’s a ‘big kid.’

Super Comfortable

The fabric is 95/5 cotton spandex, so not only are they super comfy and stretchy, but they also move great. My boys are climbers, runners, jumpers, you name it, and these clothes moved perfectly with each crazy maneuver the kids put them through.

So they looked cool, and so far they wore well when played in hard, but would they handle multiple washes? Yes! All garments have gone through the wash several times now, and the color hasn’t faded a bit, the fabric hasn’t shrunk or stretched, and they still look new. This is a huge plus for a mom!

Final Thoughts

We absolutely love these Nano t-shirts and shorts and the kids have opted to wear them on a regular basis. There are so many great designs that it’s hard to choose just one – I see myself becoming a regular on their site. I love how each design is unique and clever – they aren’t something you see in all the stores over and over again! The styles are super trendy and cool for kids who stand out on their own and want a unique style. While the price point may be slightly steep at $28/shirt and $28/shorts, the fact that they keep their color and shape with multiple uses and washings means that you’re spending less in the long run. Additionally, everything is made in the US. And I can certainly get behind that.

According to my son (who, by the way, can be very picky when it comes to clothes because he despises advertising sports brands and stores on his shirts – I hear ya, kid!), “This is super comfy and soooo cool! I’d recommend it for sure!”

And there you have it. Kid and mom approved!
