Beef Italiano

Cook Time: 3 hours

Total Time: 3 hours, 15 minutes

  • 3-1/2 lbs. boneless chuck roast
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp. oregano, crushed


  1. Trim fat from meat; place in shallow 12x8x2-inch baking dish.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  3. Spoon off fat.
  4. Combine remaining ingredients and generous dash of pepper; pour over meat. Cover.
  5. Bake for 2 hours, or until tender.
  6. Spoon off fat.
  7. Thicken sauce, if desired.
